Cookies
Updated 22 October 2026
This policy explains which trackers Chrono Corner sets or reads on your device, what they are for, how long they last and how your choice is collected. It describes the real state of the service and not an ideal. This service carries a single measurement tool and a single advertising tracker, so it is short.
1. What a tracker is and what this policy covers
A cookie is a small text file saved on your device as you browse. It makes it possible to recognize your browser, to remember your preferences and to keep the service working properly.
Other techniques produce the same effect without being cookies, in particular the local storage of the browser and device identifiers. This policy treats them in the same way and calls them all trackers.
It covers two surfaces, the site www.chronocorner.app and the web application chronocorner.app. Chrono Corner has no mobile app. The behavior differs from one surface to another, and article 5 says exactly how.
2. The strictly necessary trackers
These trackers are not subject to your agreement, as the service cannot work without them. We name them, with their role and their duration.
Running the service
- cookie_consent, cookie, one hundred and eighty days. Remembers your choice about trackers. It is set on the root domain, so that a choice made on the site also holds for the application, and the other way round.
- sb-...-auth-token, local storage, until you sign out. Your session token, which keeps you signed in. It is not a cookie, it is an entry in the local storage of your browser.
- locale, cookie and local storage, three hundred and sixty five days for the cookie, permanent until changed for the local storage. Remembers the language in which you use the service. The cookie is only set when you choose a language. It is set on the root domain, so that a choice made on the site also holds for the application, and the other way round.
- Display preferences, local storage, permanent until changed. Remembers for example the expanded state of an administration menu or the muting of a display screen.
- ph_internal, cookie, three hundred and sixty five days. Set only if you open an address carrying the matching parameter. It serves to exclude a browser from the audience measurement, or to put ours back into it. It is an opt-out tracker, it measures nothing.
Security and payment
- Technical security cookie, session duration or a few hours. We observe none today, but our host and our content delivery network, Cloudflare, may set one to protect the service against abuse and automated traffic.
- __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid, cookies from our payment provider, one year and thirty minutes. They serve to prevent payment fraud. They are set only at the moment you open a payment form, never on simple browsing.
3. Audience measurement
We measure the use of the service in order to understand what works, to spot faults and to prioritize our development. A single tool handles it.
PostHog
A tool hosted in the European Union, on a project belonging to Chrono Corner alone and separate from the projects of our other services. It records the pages visited, the interactions and the errors encountered, it may record the course of a session in order to understand an incident, and it ties those measurements to your account when you are signed in. Trackers set, entries named ph_ followed by an identifier, thirteen months at most.
What we must tell you plainly. This measurement starts when the page opens, without waiting for your agreement. It is a choice we stand behind, the measurement serving only to run and improve our own service, and being passed to no advertiser. You may object to it, and article 7 says how.
Our own measurement of event pages
We count the visits to each event page and the time during which the tab stays open, in order to report the audience of the page back to the organizer. This measurement uses no cookie, no local storage, no IP address and no account identifier. We record only the moment of the visit, its length and the site that sent you. It does not allow us to recognize you and it therefore does not fall under the regulations on trackers.
Where your first visit came from
On your first visit, we keep a record of where you came from, that is to say the site that sent you, the campaign tags present in the address and the page on which you arrived. This information is held in a cookie named td_first, set on the root domain for thirty days and never rewritten. It is attached to the registration you pay for or to the event you create, so that the organizer and we know which communication bore fruit. This cookie is set without waiting for your agreement, it is read only by us and it is passed to no advertiser.
4. Advertising
This service carries a single advertising tracker, the Meta pixel. It is loaded only after your agreement for advertising. Without that agreement, it sets nothing on your device.
Meta pixel
Measures the effectiveness of our campaigns on the Meta services. It may be loaded on the site www.chronocorner.app and in the application, only after your agreement for advertising. It then passes to Meta the pages viewed and certain steps, the creation of an account, the creation of an event, a contact request or the booking of a demonstration and, when a spot is purchased, the amount, the currency and the reference of the transaction. After that same agreement, our server also reports to Meta the creation of the account, the creation of the event, its publication and its first paid registration, together with the cookies below, your email address and your account identifier, the last two being passed in a hashed form that does not allow them to be read back. Cookies set, _fbp and _fbc, thirteen months at most. Meta is established in the United States, and that transfer is framed by the safeguards described in our privacy policy.
We load no Google Analytics, no Google Ads, no Google consent mechanism known as Consent Mode and no third party session recording tool. No cookie whose name starts with _ga, _gcl, _gac or _hj is set.
After your advertising agreement, and only after it, if the address through which you arrive carries an advertising click identifier, we store it in the local storage of your browser. The Google click identifier, known as gclid, is kept on the site and in the application under the names td_gclid and td_gclid_ts, used for ninety days at most and passed on from the site to the application. The Meta click identifier, known as fbclid, is kept in the application under the name td_fbc, with no duration of its own, until the data of the site is cleared. When you create an account or an event after that agreement, these identifiers are passed to our server, which keeps them with the account and the event to measure what our ads bring in. If you withdraw your advertising agreement, these entries are no longer read or passed on. They are not deleted automatically, you may delete them by clearing the local storage of the site from your browser.
5. How your choice is collected and how to change it
The trackers and the collection of your choice differ from one surface to another. We describe them as they are.
- On the site www.chronocorner.app: the PostHog audience measurement, then the Meta pixel subject to your advertising agreement.
- In the chronocorner.app application: the PostHog audience measurement, then the Meta pixel subject to your advertising agreement.
On the site www.chronocorner.app
On your first visit, a window offers you three choices, continue without accepting, customize or accept. Customizing separates audience measurement from advertising, so you may accept one and refuse the other. Today, the audience measurement setting controls no tool at Chrono Corner, PostHog operating under the conditions of article 3. It is kept in case a measurement tool subject to your agreement is added. You may reopen that window at any time from the cookie management link in the page footer, and change your choice.
In the chronocorner.app web application
The banner offers two choices of equal standing, refuse or accept. As long as you have not chosen, nothing is accepted and no advertising tracker is loaded. Your choice, agreement or refusal, is kept for one hundred and eighty days. This application does not yet carry a preference management screen. To customize or to go back on your choice, use the cookie management link in the footer of the site, since your choice is recorded on the root domain and applies to both surfaces.
From your browser or your device
You may at any time delete the cookies already set and block new ones from your browser settings, and clear the local storage of the site. Some features of the service, including your signed in session, will then stop working.
6. Retention periods
- Your choice about trackers, one hundred and eighty days, after which the question is put to you again
- Audience measurement trackers, thirteen months at most from the day they are set
- Campaign identifier gclid, entries td_gclid and td_gclid_ts, ninety days
- Meta click identifier, entry td_fbc, no duration of its own, until the data of the site is cleared
- The ph_internal opt-out tracker, three hundred and sixty five days
- The locale language cookie, three hundred and sixty five days
- Session token, until you sign out or until it expires
- Language and display preferences, until you change them or clear the data of the site
7. Controller, your rights and complaint
Data controller: Throwdown SAS, 6 la boulaie, 79140 Cirières, represented by its president, which operates the service under the trading name Chrono Corner. Contact: contact@chronocorner.app.
You may at any time access the information we hold about your browsing, ask for it to be erased, withdraw an agreement you have given, and object to the audience measurement described in article 3 by writing to us, including where it runs without prior agreement. We answer within one month, a period that may be extended by two months if the request is complex, in which case we inform you.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr.
The details of our processing of personal data are in our privacy policy.
8. Updates to this policy
This policy may be changed when we add, replace or remove a tracker. The applicable version is the one published on this page, and its date of last update is shown at the top of the document.
